The Jump is a short film that explores what happens when one boy’s sense of magic is tarnished by an encounter with bullies at a pool.

This film was written, produced and star Eric Lockley, and is directed by Jamal Hodge. It has been shown at Urbanworld Film Festival, DAMN! Film Series, Baltimore International Film Festival, Martha Vineyard's Film Festival, and Philly Blackstar Film Festival, where it was awarded the Best Short Narrative Award.

If you are interested in a screening and/or a facilitated discussion and workshop about African Americans in swimming, conquering fears and living your best life, we want to connect with you!
